From My Heart To You

Psalms 42:5A
“Why art thou cast down, o
my soul? And why art thou
disquieted in me?”

Are You My Friend
Are you my friend
or are you not?
Please don't judge me
with just one thought.
Walk in my shoes
for just a while.
See from the sadness
why I don't smile.
Why days of depression
just seem to set in.
From past things that haunt me
from deep within.
I don't need you telling me
why I am so wrong.
When days of depression
seem to ever go on.
I need your love
and just your support.
A shoulder to cry on
and give comfort of sorts.
I love Jesus
as much as the next.
I pray and I pray
like all of the rest.
There are just days
that I feel so down.
unworthy, unloved
in pity I drown.
But then there's tomorrow
that will be sunny and bright.
And the sadness is gone
as I see the Lord's light.
That shines on us all
from thy Holy throne.
And know Jesus loves me
and that I'm not alone.
He was just waiting for me
to knock on the door.
To say come in child
and have faith once more.
For Jesus knows that
I suffer with pain.
And he welcomes me home
in loving arms again.
Don't you dare judge me
unless you can see.
Where these shoes have been
that were given to me.
